| Scientists discover new species of ghost shark off Southern California | 05/10/2009 17:05:47 | It's difficult to imagine an unknown species living in the waters off of a populated area like Southern California in the year 2009. But that's exactly what researchers from the Pacific Shark Research Center at Moss Landing Marine Laboratories found when they recently identified a new species of chimaera, also known as a ghost shark.
