If you have ever visited a trout fishery and wondered what flies and tactics to try, then allow John Wilson and friends to teach you. This DVD is filmed mostly at Avon Springs Fishery, with a section from Dever Springs, featuring John Wilson, Charles Jardine, Andrew James and Chris Dawn. We meet the four fly fishermen as they net out and identify a selection of underwater invertebrates the trout may feed upon, before selecting matching fly patterns for the day ahead. As the camera follows John and his friends around the fishery, you`ll learn how to present each artificial, and how to stalk cruising rainbows, as well as how to offer the dry fly to educated brown trout. This DVD is packed full of entertainment and instruction, culminating with the capture of an 8lb-plus brown trout on an eight-foot brook rod, due only to a 30 yard dash down river in order to land the leviathan. Share the experience as John and friends tackle a scenic day-ticket fishery open to all, the Avon Springs Trout Fishery, which, in addition to two spring-fed lakes, includes a mouth-watering stretch of the upper Avon of Frank Sawyer fame.
